Political Ideologies of Armenian political parties according to their programs
ABOUT THE RESEARCH
The study was undertaken in 2020, by the “Political Dialogue” organization with the financial support of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The present research identifies political ideologies reflected in programs of Armenian political parties through the comparison of political programs of Armenian and pan-European parties. To achieve this goal, election programs of nine political parties (one of the 10 registered pan-European parties is a non-traditional regional party pursuing specific goals and thus was not reviewed by us) were reviewed with the use of the holistic grading method. Wolfram Nordsieck’s “Parties and Elections in Europe” was used when referring to the characterizations of ideologies of political parties.
