"Political Compass" report

About the report

In 2020, the Compass report was prepared by "Political Dialogue" organization with the financial support of the European Endowment for Democracy.

The report comprised of two parts: Analysis of Political Compass Results and Monitoring of the 2019 activities of the ruling power. The first part refers to Political Compass which is a quiz that consists of 43 questions on different social, political, economic aspects of life. By the time this report was being prepared, 2244 users had filled in the questionnaire.

Thus, the report touches on public perception of Armenian society towards different questions: war and peace, social issues, socioeconomic issues, ethnic and religious issues, environmental and other issues. This report, as well as the Compass merely aim to track different societal trends. 

In regard to monitoring part, Political Dialogue highlighting the importance of holding the ruling political power accountable in maintaining its pre-electoral promises, in 2019, has monitored the compliance of the ruling power to its pre-electoral and post-electoral promises. The report especially focuses on the actions included in the Government program and the promises made in the electoral program of "My Step" ruling alliance. PD monitored the process of optimization of public administration system and reform processes in the security, education and healthcare sectors. The report also puts emphasis on the missing activities that should have been realized in this period of time by the Government.
